D.I.Y. Rock Star Rewind: What’s happening, Vietnam?! (March 2023)

I was feeling like a slacker….😬🤷🏽‍♀️

— I guess I realized—after looking through and somewhat cleaning up my journal page—that MANY of the things that I have focused on this past year have progressed to either being able to check it OFF my list, or at least moving it along the conveyor belt to the next stage. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️😬💡🙌🏾 —I guess that all really speaks to the power of focusing on specific goals. —I mean, it’s NOT that we ROCKED them all out—or even that we crossed them all off the list—but it’s just that I can see progress on those fronts. 😊 THAT'S something that I will admit, I wasn’t sure I would be able to discern—but I KNOW that SOME of my perception is because the results seemed to have landed flat (like the ringtones). 😳🤷🏽‍♀️🙄 Whatever. It felt good creating them and I thought it MIGHT be a good idea for someone wanting to capture the sound in a daily way for themselves, so I am glad I did it. It’s just that we HAVEN’T sold ONE YET. 😳🙄🤷🏽‍♀️ —But, as in MOST things lately, I can say that I enjoyed the process of making them and THAT'S really all I can speak to at the end of the day. 🤷🏽‍♀️💡😬🙌🏾–AND I am TOO stubborn to take them down, so… 😬

—Also, what I noticed is that the book HAS been a focus for a while—that I HADN'T left it stranded, but that INDEED I had been working on various ideas related to its completion, formatting, and selling for QUITE a while. 😊😬🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾

Better than I thought….

—So, what I am saying is that, heading BACK into the work work fray and feeling sometimes as if NOTHING much has happened between about a year ago and now is really NOT giving myself credit for many of the projects that I am moving along. —AND that’s NOT even taking into account the growth, relationship maintenance, parenting, and housework that I am doing along the way. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾😬

Work in the background….

—So, realizing THIS has made me more THANKFUL of “my process” than I had been before. —What I mean is that—just like with the book work right now—sometimes I go off on these creative tangents in what seems like directions WAAAAY different than where I SHOULD be, but sometimes, by doing that, I am working on the ACTUAL “creative problem,” while taking a mental break to explore a different kind of creativity—which is THIS case is embroidery and upcycling clothes. Somehow, it seems SO far away from the goals, but actually they work together to solve two “problems” at once. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾😬
