Is this “Fix F*ck-ups Day” (May 2022) 😑

It’s “fix fuck-ups day”?!

—I don’t know why, but this seems to be “fix fuck ups” day. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾 It’s okay; I have ALREADY fixed one. —I had the wrong link in this weekend’s song that was posted, but I fixed it. And I will spare you the song a dance about all the specifics….

Gab & Jam 222. How to prepare for a music conference

Just a LITTLE overwhelmed here….

—And, though I had so many OTHER plans, related to pulling out our book we started a couple of years ago, I guess I cannot complain TOO much about it taking so long to get these South By Southwest 2022 posts out, since this was a pretty major event and will end up being some pretty awesome evergreen content for us. Plus, it’s travel AND event content; alongside of being music AND non-music-related; and, finally, both videos AND blog posts—yes, multiples of each, at this rate, I think. 🤷🏽‍♀️ THAT’S a pretty fucking incredible wealth of material here, so I guess I deserve to give it this EXTRA time and attention. 🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾😬

Gab & Jam 223. Differences between South By Southwest 2022 vs 2019

Got to rock and roll, y’all….

—-Okay, it took ALL that time to calm the fuck down, but I think I am there now. And I think I am FINALLY ready to get my brain working. Had to untangle all this shit out in my head. Ready to rock and roll now.

224. Three things we learned at South By Southwest 2022

Why, why, why?

—It seemed easier to get ready for South By Southwest than to calm down now that we’re back and get some of the practical, foundational work done for the NEXT phase of our creative empire-building journey, which is where we are now. But I was up early and ready to go, when I realized that I am embarking on even more challenging new projects that nothing else that we’ve done has really prepared us for. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️😬

Yep, the book is coming SOON

—That’s right, I am pulling out that draft we started of our book a few years back. Lost my way through trying to tie a bow on it, but ready to evaluate it honestly now. I am determined that, even if it’s our version 1.0, as the artist mentoring program calls it (https://bit.ly/217artistmentorrevealblog ), it is going to get fleshed out and put out for consumption. We are so much wiser than we were then and I think I can reflect that in this draft, so that’s the BIG thing that we will be working on in the next month (along with wishing our mom and pop record shops a “Happy Record Store Day!”) —But more on this next month.
